VLHC with a Very Large Muon Collider

Bruce King

Summary

  1. In the long-term future, the ultimate potential energy reach for lepton-hadron colliders could plausibly result from an energy frontier facility including both a hadron collider and muon collider in the same tunnel. For example, 140 TeV muon-proton collisions have been discussed, obtained from a 50 TeV muon beam colliding with a 100 TeV proton beam.
